DIVISIONAL CONTROLLER


  • Our client is searching for an enthusiastic, clever and well-spoken Divisional Controller with Cost Accounting and manufacturing company experience to work in their Seattle, WA facility.

SUMMARY of DUTIES

  • Provides day to day leadership of transactions, financial decisions and policies & procedures in the operational performance of three Plant Facilities.

  • Requires hands-on management of the cost accounting department in all areas (operations, service, engineering/R&D and resale).

  • Responsible for reviews of results and for supporting the Site General Manager, the Corporate Controller and the plant controllers in managing and driving bottom-line results.

  • Must formalize and execute processes and procedures for tracking of Costs

Qualifications

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity.

  • Supervisory experience in Cost Accounting and hands-on experience in all areas of Cost and Inventory management.

  • Superior Excel skills plus good skills with other MS software, Sharepoint, other SAP modules, etc

  • Comfortable and effective in dealing with Operations and R&D.

  • Ability to identify internal control issues and performance risks.

  • Ability to dig into details and direct staff to identify and assist with improving on areas of weakness within the operations and project management.

  • Comfortable with drafting and enforcing procedures & policies

  • Technically competent and able to assist (hands-on) with budget and forecast design/collection/consolidation.

  • Financial savvy in reviewing/analyzing project feasibility and bottom-line risks in all areas.

  • Ability to establish and assist operations and finance in continuous improvement projects and in monitoring and reaching stretch goals.

  • Take charge attitude but with a pleasant and effective approach to working with all levels, including presenting to upper management.

  • Deadline oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

  • Ability to organize information and manage external/internal audits on the cost side, including government audits of projects.

  • Company is at the beginning of an SAP implementation and would like some on with strong SAP experience

Education/Training:

  • BS in Accounting with 5-10 years diverse accounting experience

  • CPA would be a plus
